Archero is a brilliant Roguelike mobile game where the aim of the game is to complete all the levels. However, to pass a level you need to complete 50 rooms in a row without dying. Each level has stronger enemies with different moves, so it’s fair to say you won’t get bored with Archero.

One of the best parts about Archero is the skills you get in each of your many lives. Every time your character ranks up, you will be given the choice of three random skills. Each skill will help but some skills are much more helpful than others. If you want to know more about the skills, then check out our guide!

What is a Combination?

A Combination (Combo) is when you select several skills that seem to work together. An example of a combination would be the Ricochet skill, where your projectiles bounce off enemies and the Blaze skill, where enemies are set on fire if your projectile touches them.

Think of a combo as a situation where you are getting the most out of what you already have. If you have skills that orbit around your player as you move around, then grabbing lots of these orbiting skills will increase your damage.

The Best Combinations

A lot of different variables affect what makes a combination more or less effective. For example, if you are in level three, then you want every shot to count and deal as much damage to as many enemies as possible. Another factor to take into account is what weapon you have. Shooting tornado’s in every single direction is much more useful than shooting arrows backwards or sideways.

Combo list

  • Attack Speed Up, Double Shot and Ricochet: This combination is strengthened the more skills you get on top, but the base formula is essential. Shooting more arrows at a quicker rate is essential, but having these arrows hit as many enemies in one shot is a bonus.
  • Front Arrow +1, Side Arrows +1, Diagonal Arrows and Bouncy Arrows: The point of this combo is to shoot as many arrows as physically possible, with the bouncy effect. This will allow you to flood the room with damage in every direction, allowing you to hit every enemy in the room multiple times over. Adding a higher rate of fire or Ricochet will take this combo to another level.
  • The Same: There are many skills that have a fire, ice, poison or lightning effect, for example, the orbiting swords. If you were to grab as many orbiting effects as possible, then no one will get close to you. We can apply the same ideology to Blaze, Freeze and Poison. Allowing you maximise splash damage from one projectile.
  • Shadow Clone, Bloodthirst and Headshot: This is a strange combination that can often go unnoticed. This is because Shadow Clone and Headshot don’t affect every single enemy you kill, their effect is random. But, in situations where they work together, the effect can be extraordinary. Shadow Clone spawns a turret to fire arrows at the enemy, and headshot has a chance to instantly kill an enemy.
  • Shield Guard, Invincibility Star and Wingman: For this combination to work, you will need one or more Spirits (pets). These skills allow you much more protection and make you a much harder target to be killed. Dealing humongous damage is one thing, but taking no damage is a much smarter investment.

I should mention that there are many more combos out there that I have not mentioned. This is not because they are not as good, instead, think of this list as the bare-bones. Once you understand that skills can stack and work with each other, you can experiment and create something even more deadly than what I have mentioned.
