If you’ve picked up the quest ‘Wilderness Hunting’, you’ll mostly likely have read the quest description.
The actual notice for the quest reads as:
The Forest is one of the first areas that you can explore when starting Arcane Lineage. By the time you pick up the Wilderness Hunting quest, you’ll probably be more than used to this environment. You can reach the Forest via the main city hub where you spawn in at the start of the game.

Luckily, Wilderness Hunting is a fairly easy quest to complete. All you need to do is wander around the Forest and wait for monsters and thieves to strike. Defeat a total of 18 monsters/thieves by taking part in turn-based combat.
You can pick up quests via the quest boards that are dotted around the map. It’s important to work through quests as often as you can due to the rewards that you can obtain by completing them. An NPC will often be stood next to a quest board as they are sometimes involved in certain quests. However, you don’t need to hand any materials or items over to the NPC for the Wilderness Hunting quest.
