The Anime Vanguards Ascension method is all about sacrifice! Oh, and being lucky enough to have at least 3 copies of the same Mythic unit…

Ascend your units in Anime Vanguards! As mentioned below, ascension differs from the process of evolving your units. So, with that, take a look at our Anime Vanguards Evolution guide to learn more.

While you’re here, brush up on your knowledge of Anime Vanguards Stats, as ascending your units directly gives them a lovely stat boost!

Anime Vanguards Ascension

Before we start, ascension is different from evolution. Evolving your units requires the correct materials, including Star Rifts and the unit-specific item. Ascension, on the other hand, asks for you to sacrifice one of your other units.

If you click the preview button you can see the benefit of the current ascension, which is a stat boost of some sort. A unit can ascend a total of 3 times, with the golden stars representing each one.

How to Ascend Units

Ascending requires you to have a copy of the same unit. Only Mythics can ascend, which means you have to get lucky when summoning, as it’s a rare occurrence to get multiple copies of a unit of this rarity.

When you load into the lobby, head over to the Kakashi lookalike and speak with him. He has the word ‘Ascension’ above his head, so he’s easy to spot! If you can’t see him, he stands in front of the Summon area. Interacting with him opens up the ascension window, which prompts you to select the unit you wish to ascend.

If you already have a copy of the same unit, it will automatically be added to the window. However, you also need a certain amount of the unit-specific item. For example, it’s all well and good if you have copies of Vogita Super, but you also need 20 Senzu Beans.
