Portals aren’t new additions to Update 3, but thanks to this update they now offer a bundle more of rewards upon completion. If you’re lucky that is. Portal units suffer from extremely low drop rates meaning they’ll need to be grinded before participants get anything worthwhile. If you’re unfamiliar with Portals as a mechanic, Portals are a 10% drop from defeating a boss in ANY nightmare mode game or rewarded when completing another player’s portal.
You can identify Secret Portals by their heart-like structure, differing from the regular portal tiers 1-5 appearing as white circular structures. Whilst Secret Portals are rarer than regular portals, they boost the chances of receiving a secret unit by a significant amount. The Yuta Unit (Cursed Child), enjoys a guaranteed drop of 99.9% from Secret Portals.
