Yep, every unit in the game is based on an anime character from your favourite franchises. Obtain the strongest units in the game and place them in your defenses, as they wield their unique traits and techniques against your opponents.

The Dark Flash unit is based on Minato Namikaze from the Naruto franchise… you may have heard of it! The odd thing about this unit though, is that he’s a reimagined version of Minato. What do I mean by that? Well, Dark Flash is Minato Namikaze, but if he was part of the Akatsuki clan.
To get Dark Flash, you first need the Flash unit. The original Flash is an Exotic unit and can only be obtained by redeeming a certain code. However, there seems to be multiple codes that can be used, with no information as to whether or not they’ll expire.
As long as you have the Flash unit, you can evolve him via your unit inventory window. However, you need to collect some extra items to do so. This includes 10 Tor’s Cloak, 25 Spirit Shards, and 10 Tor’s Headband.
The Tor Headbands and Cloaks are obtained after completing Act 6 in the Desert Village, which is easy enough! Lastly, the Spirit Shards are earned by working through Challenges, but they aren’t always guaranteed to drop.
Dark Flash utilises AoE attacks when defending the towers, so it’s best to equip him with a technique that boosts his overall attack range. A good option is the All Seeing technique, which provides a huge 75% boost to his range.
I suggest also opting for a technique that increases his DMG stat, as it doesn’t really improve much until his sixth upgrade (which costs a lot of in-game resources!).
