Angry Birds Dream Blast is a bubble-popping puzzler with match-three gameplay elements. Sounds confusing right? Well, that couldn’t be further from the truth. Popping your way through each level is instinctive and enjoyable. Don’t worry if you need some help, read on and we will make an Angry Bird of you yet.

Tips and strategies

There are many ways to play a puzzle game like Angry Birds Dream Blast, but when you hit more demanding levels, you will need to have a good strategy to rely on. Following these tips should get you in the right frame of mind for acing each level.

  • Take your time. Many people like to rush and press the screen wherever they see several of the same colour bubbles. That’s normally a bad decision because it leaves you unable to merge your combos. If you want to become a bubble popping expert, think about merging angry birds together, before you tap the screen to spawn them.
  • It matters where you press. What I mean by this tip is where you press on the bubble will affect where the Angry Bird spawns. So, if there is a chain of blue bubbles and green bubbles next to each other, you want to press the bubbles that are physically touching each other. That way then they turn into a red Angry Bird, they will instantly combine.
  • Make combos. This may not sound like much of a tip, but I assure you it is. Instead of activating your red or yellow bird, have a look to see if there are any more areas where you can spawn in another red bird. After you trigger a bird, it will scramble the entire board, so make the most of the board before it is shuffled.
  • Save combos. This links to the tip above, you want as many birds in your game as possible. This tip especially applies to any levels where there are blocks to smash or angry clouds to clear. If you have many birds in your board, then when you set one off you will see a chain reaction of birds exploding. This means you clear large areas of the board in one move.
  • Patience is key. If you find yourself in a level where there is a windmill spinning and shuffling the bubbles around then be patient. Patience and sharp reactions will allow you to form combos and birds which will allow you to shuffle the board. Do not waste turns making matches of two or three, they are effectively worthless.
  • Match two or more. If you haven’t realised, you can make a bubble disappear as long as there is another bubble of the same colour within touching distance. If there are two birds of the same colour and they are separated by two bubbles of the same colour, don’t be afraid to pop them to combine your birds.
  • The bigger the combo, the bigger the bubble. Some levels have areas which are deliberately out of reach, take level 30 for example. You need to clear the angry clouds above where the balls drop. This means you need to make large combos and don’t pop the birds. Make as many large birds as you can and they will recycle the bubbles you popped to the top of the board.Â
