Ancient Adventures: Gift of Zeus – Game Introduction

Welcome to the Ancient Adventures: Gift of Zeus walkthrough on Gamezebo. Ancient Adventures: Gift of Zeus is a Hidden Object/Adventure game played on a PC of Mac created by Teleport Games. This walkthrough includes tips and tricks, helpful hints, and a strategy guide to how to complete Ancient Adventures: Gift of Zeus.

Gameplay Tips

Main Menu

• Options allows you to adjust the volume to the sound and music. You can also change the full screen mode, the custom cursor or mute.
• Help explains how to play the game.

Game Play

• This is a hidden object adventure game.
• Adventure aspect:
  • You have to gather objects in order to solve puzzles and perform actions such as unlocking doors/gates/boxes, adding ingredients to make spells, etc.
  • Areas of interest – For areas that require an action or further investigation, the cursor turns into an magnifying glass.
  • Collecting inventory items – Use your cursor to take items. These items then go into your inventory. To access your inventory, click on the satchel at the bottom right of your screen.
  • Using inventory items – To use an item, click on the item from the inventory and move it to the action zone. When your cursor turns into a hand, click to perform the action.
• Hidden object aspect:
  • A list of items or silhouettes of items to find in the scene will appear at the bottom of the screen. Within the scene, click on items to cross them off the list. Some items will be added to your inventory.
  • Items in blue cannot be found right away and require an inventory item or action to find them.
  • The items are different each time you replay the game. You will replay scenes often within the course of the game however the items are in different locations.
  • Find two pink gems in each scene.

Gameplay Tips

• There is no timer or point system.
• In each scene, move your cursor around to find inventory or action items. When your cursor turns to a magnifying glass, there’s something to do.
  • When using an inventory item, click on the item from the inventory and move it to the action zone. When your cursor turns into a hand, click to perform the action.
• Hint system: If you are stuck, click the Hint icon.
  • Puzzles – The hint system will skip the puzzle. It takes about 30 seconds to charge.
  • Hidden object aspect – An object will be highlighted. The Hint icon then recharges. The more pink gems you collect, the fast the Hint will recharge.

How to Use this Walkthrough

• To use an item from your inventory, you have to click on the satchel. This instruction will not be given in the walkthrough. It should be assumed that “Use the broom to…” means to take it from the inventory and use it.
• The hidden object hunts are different each time you play the game. Screenshots will only show where to find pink gems, inventory items and other special items. In the course of the game, you will revisit locations. Each time you visit a location, find the two pink gems.
• Inventory items will be circled in yellow. Action zones or areas where you need to use your inventory items are shown by a yellow square.
• Pink gems will be circled in white.
• All inventory items in this walkthrough will appear in bold.

Walkthrough – Part 1

• After watching the cut scene, you are asked if you want to take the tutorial. Click Yes. Even if you are a hidden object veteran, some games are different than others.

• Take the broom (tutorial). Then take it from your satchel (inventory list) and use it on the pile of dirt (click when the icon turns into a hand).

• The key is automatically added to your inventory. Use the key on the chest.
• Mini-puzzle: To solve this puzzle, you must align the four rings. Click and rotate each ring and take note of what each one rotates. If you count the inner ring as 1 and the largest as 4:
  • 1 – Rotates 1
  • 2 – Rotates 1 (in the opposite direction), 2 and 4
  • 3 – Rotates 1 and 3
  • 4 – Rotates 3 and 4
  • As only 2 can rotate itself, position it first (you can put 1 in the proper position and get an idea where 2 belongs. A ring will automatically position itself correctly when it’s close to a position. Now position 4 (use the outer area as a guide), then 3 and 1.
  • Solution:

• Find all the remaining items and two pink gems. Take the magic bowl from the open chest. Use the knife on the loaf of bread to get the crumbs.

• Find all the items and two pink gems. Use the crumbs to lure the blue bird away from its nest. Take the blue feather from the empty nest. Use the magic bowl on the water to get the full magic bowl.

• Find all the items and two pink gems. You get Athena’s ring. Take the bellows. Use the wooden ornaments on the chest drawer.
• Mini-puzzle: Place the tiles in the inlay. The tiles cannot be rotated.

• From the open drawer, take the magic orb and magic powder.

• nd all the items and two pink gems. Take two magic orbs. Use the magic powder (revealing powder), then the bellows on the wall hanging.
• Mini-puzzle: Play mahjong. Click a tile, then click its matching tile. Only tiles with two exposed sides can be played.
• A solution cannot be displayed as it will be different each time. This mahjong game requires no strategy.
  • Take the key and use it on the small chest. Take the two magic orbs.

• On the magical pearl charger on the shelf, place the magic orbs on it in the order shown on the wall hanging (red square).
• Mini-puzzle: Click the orbs in the order shown to get a magic pearl.

• d all the items and two pink gems, orange flowers, key, and knife. Use the key on the crate. Take the spade and the silver bowl. Use the spade on the mound of dirt, then take the mushrooms. Use the silver bowl on the berries. Use the knife to take the green leaves.

• Find all the items and two pink gems. Put the mushrooms in the mortar.
• Mini-puzzle: Place the ingredients in the bowl to make one solid colour. You have to do this in 15 steps. Start with the orange ingredient. Then add the different coloured ingredients to fill all the hexagons. Go with whatever colour is most touching the area you’ve filled in.
• You can now choose your location from the map. It does not matter which order you select a location.

Palace Courtyard

• Find all the items and two pink gems and the scoop net. Use it to get the crumpled papyrus, then put that through the roller to get the flat papyrus.
• Mini-puzzle: Place the tiles in the inlay.

Palace Hall

• Find all the items and two pink gems. You receive Artemis’ earrings.16
• Mini-puzzle: Click the stone inlay on each pedestal. Rotate the tiles to complete the picture.

• Take the magical gems from the opening.

Palace Room

• Find all the items and two pink gems, broom and hammer. Use the hammer to break the pot, then use the broom and take the book.18
• Mini-puzzle: Spot the 15 differences. This puzzle is different each time you play the game. There is no hint option (aside from Skip). If you are stuck, a difference will eventually flicker.

Workshop

Palace Room

• Find all the items and two pink gems, a pitcher. Use the pitcher in the water to get a full pitcher. Use the full pitcher on the brazier, then look inside to get the blue diamond.

Palace Hall

• Find all the items and two pink gems.

Palace Courtyard

• Find all the items and two pink gems and the 8 stone fragments. Use the stone fragments to complete the statues.
  • Hover your mouse over the stone fragments to see where they belong, i.e., a God (Zeus), Goddess (Athena) or Demigod (Dionysis) statue.

• Take the jewellery box.
• Mini-puzzle: Use the tools to place the beads on the box.
  • First use the brush.

• Click and hold it and drag it back and forth across the box to clean it. You’re done when it disappears. Then use the large pincers to pick up and place the leaves. Click to pick up a leaf and then hover it over the different leaf pieces. It will light up when it’s over the correct position. Then take the small tweezers and position the remaining beads.

• Take the pearl.

Part 2

Temple Gate

• Find all the items and two pink gems, and the hammer. (A greave is shin armour.) Use the hammer on the nuts. Click where the squirrel was and take the magic cubes.30

Clearing

• Find all the items and two pink gems, and the crowbar. Use the crowbar on the chest. Take the rusty shears and use them on the grindstone to get the sharp shears.
• Mini-puzzle: Spot the 15 differences. This puzzle is different each time you play the game. There is no hint option (aside from Skip). If you are stuck, a difference will eventually flicker.

Forge

• Find all the items and two pink gems.

Palace Room

• Find all the items and two pink gems. You receive Aphrodite’s bracelet. 36
• Mini-puzzle: Recreate the picture by clicking and dragging the pieces into the frame. Right-click to rotate the picture.

• Mini-puzzle: Use the sharp shears to clip the branches. Start with the top branch first (overlapping branch, not the branch that is the highest). Hover the sharp shears over the branches and click. There seems to be no penalty for incorrect clicks so just click on the branch you think is topmost. Click until the branches disappear.

Sanctum

• Find all the items and two pink gems, and the seven flag pieces. Attach the flag pieces to their matching symbols. You get the board for magical games.

Clearing

• Find all the items and two pink gems, and the mosaic tiles. Place the mosaic tiles in the appropriate position (match the colours).
• Mini-puzzle: Play mahjong (instructions above). Once finished, take the magic cubes (red square).

Palace Hall

• Find all the items and two pink gems, two keys, and a knife. Use the knife on the couch’s cloth, then place the silver key in the silver keyhole and the gold key in the gold keyhole.
• Mini-puzzle: Place the tiles in the inlay.

• From the newly opened drawer, take the magic cubes.

Temple Gate

• Find all the items and two pink gems.

Palace Courtyard

• Find all the items and two pink gems.46

Temple Gate

• Click the area above the gate.
• Mini-puzzle: Click all four squares. Rotate the tiles.

• Take the magic cubes.

Clearing

• Find all the items and two pink gems.
• Mini-puzzle: Complete the picture.

Sanctum

• Find all the items and two pink gems, and the watering can. Use the watering can on the plant. Take the flowers that appear. Place the flowers in the bowl on the table. You get magic cubes.
• Mini-puzzle: Create a path for each jewel to travel to the bottom of the kettle. Rotate the tiles to create the path. Do the jewels one at a time. Once one is at the bottom, you can use pieces of the path it used. You get a pearl.

Port

• Find all the items and two pink gems, the crowbar and the broom. Use the crowbar to open the crate, then use the broom. Give the doll to the centaur and you get a key.

Marketplace

• Find all the items and two pink gems. You get Persephone’s necklace. Take the bucket and use it in the well to get the full bucket. Use the full bucket on the pile of dirt to get a key. Use the key on the safe. Take the jewel stones.
• Mini-puzzle: Spot the 15 differences. This puzzle is different each time you play the game. There is no hint option (aside from Skip). If you are stuck, a difference will eventually flicker.

Galleon

• Find all the items, two pink gems, and the four corks. Place the corks in their matching coloured jug. Use the tongs in the orange jug to get the pearls.
• Mini-puzzle: Move the knots so no rope is overlapping. To move the knots, click and drag. Move the knots around to get familiar with what happens. Just keep moving the knots.
• Solution:

Port

• Find all the items and two pink gems.

Marketplace

• Find all the items, two pink gems, and two weights. Use the weights on the scale to get the jewel stones.

Sanctum

• Find all the items and two pink gems.
• Mini-puzzle: You have to string three or more of the same bead. The board looks like a match-3 game but it’s not. Use your cursor to click and drag a “thread” through three or more like beads. As you do this, the necklace on the right completes. Matching three beads gets one completed bead on the necklace. Matching four or more gets more beads completed.
  • Note – You cannot string a bead diagonally.

Port

• Find all the items and two pink gems. Click the wall.
• Mini-puzzle: Rotate the tiles to complete the design.

Part 3

Marketplace

• Find all the items and two pink gems.

Galleon

• Find all the items, two pink gems and the clippers. Use the clippers to cut the net, then use the key to open the chest.
• Mini-puzzle: Rotate the rings to complete the design. If you number the smallest ring 1 to the largest being 6, rotate the rings in the following order: 1-2-3-1-4-2-5-2-6.

• Take the pearl.

Garden

• Find all the items, two pink gems, and four eyes. Put the eyes in the statues. Take the magic pearl.

Atrium

• Find all the items, two pink gems and a dry torch. Put the dry torch in the pot of oil to get the oiled torch, then put it in the flame to get the flaming torch, then put it in the holder. Take the mosaic tiles.
• Mini-puzzle: Click to swap the tiles to recreate the mosaic.

Secret Room

• Find all the items and two pink gems.
• Mini-puzzle: Complete the picture.

Galleon

• Find all the items and two pink gems.

Garden

• Find all the items and two pink gems.

Atrium

• Find all the items and two pink gems.

Secret Room

• Find all the items, two pink gems, and a hammer. Use the hammer on the glass bottle to get the key. Use the key on the book.
• Mini-puzzle: Rotate the rings to complete the diagram. If you number the smallest ring 1 to the largest being 6, rotate the rings in the following order: 6-1-2-3-1-4-2-5-2-6

• Take the bookmark.

Garden

• Find all the items, two pink gems, a pitcher, a green leaf and a trowel. Use the pitcher on the fountain to get the full pitcher. Use the trowel on the plant to get dirt.
• Mini-puzzle: Spot the 15 differences.

Atrium

• Find all the items, two pink gems, a hammer, and a bellows. Use the hammer on the cracks on the wall.
• Mini-puzzle: Mahjong. Match the tiles.
• Take the oil lamp.

Secret Room

• Find all the items and two pink gems.
• Use your inventory items to perform the spell. Follow the picture below:

• Take the magic powder.

Forge

• Find all the items, two pink gems, a golden hammer and a nugget. Place the nugget in the fire to get the gold bar, then place it on the anvil and use the golden hammer on it to get the filigree.

Workshop

• Find all the items, two pink gems, a rag, an oil can and fire steel. Use these three items (in that order) on the hanging lamp. Take the pearl.

Maia’s Home

• Find all the items and the last two pink gems. If you collected all the pink gems, you will be rewarded after the final cut scene of the game.
• Mini-puzzle: Complete the picture

• Mini-puzzle: Complete the necklace based on the picture. Click and drag the pieces to their proper position on the wire.
