AMAZE is a game about mazes. You’re in control of a ball and need to cover every inch of the maze you’re dropped into to move onto the next. It’s a pretty relaxing experience, the sort of thing you can turn your brain off to for the most part, but there’s some layers to the game that need a bit of explanation.

Thankfully explanation is our bread and butter here at Gamezebo, so we’ve written you this guide. It’s packed with all of the hints, tips and tricks you’re going to need to make your time with AMAZE even more, well, amazing.

New players, old players and everyone in-between is going to find something to help them out here. So let’s get on with it – here are the 5 best hints, tips and cheats for AMAZE.

You can retrace your steps

It’s important to remember that you can go over pieces of the maze that you’ve already painted. This isn’t the sort of game where you can’t retrace your steps. Infact, more often than not, it’s utterly essential to roll over the same spot a couple of times to get to the finish line.

Use blockers

By blockers we mean the parts of the maze that jut out and let you change direction. Hit one of them and you’ll have a new set of directions you can move in. They’re an essential part of completing levels, so keep an eye out for them and use them to pick up spaces that would be impossible otherwise.

You don’t need the hints in classic mode

There are no time or move limits in classic mode, so there’s really no point watching a video to get a hint. Just keep trying. Sooner or later – and usually much sooner than later – you’re going to work out what you need to do and move on to the next challenge.

Play the bonus levels

The bonus levels get you new balls. It’s only an aesthetic change, but this is the best way to get them. Also, the bonus levels are a bit different and you’re going to have a lovely time playing them. So really it’s a two-fold victory that’s going to leave you with a smile on your face. Win win.

Check out the other modes

There are two other modes aside from classic. One of these gives you a move limit, the other a time limit. They’re pretty hectic, so if you’re looking to chill out give them a miss. But, if you fancy a more challenging maze-filling experience then they’re well worth having a play around with.
