99 Nights in the Forest Sacrifice Totem

What is the Sacrifice Totem in 99 Nights in the Forest, and should you get it? It certainly makes things easier when it comes to making sacrifices in exchange for rare rewards!

How to Get a Sacrifice Totem

The only way to obtain Sacrifice Totems is by finding and opening Hot Chests. This type of chest can only be found within the Volcanic Biome, and much like the other chests in the game, they spawn in random locations. Just keep an eye out as you explore the Volcanic Biome, and you should be able to find them!

Be careful, though, as some Hot Chests may be close by to Cultists. The Sacrifice Totem is not a guarantee upon opening a Hot Chest, as there are other potential items, too. Make sure to open Hot Chests whenever you see them in the hopes that a Sacrifice Totem drops!

Hot Chest Drops

As well as the Sacrifice Totem, the Hot Chest can also contain a variety of other items, such as:

  • Sacrifice Totem
  • Wildfire
  • Crossbow
  • Revolver with Revolver Ammo
  • Lava Mine Blueprint
  • Leather Body

How to Use a Sacrifice Totem

The difference between a Sacrifice Totem and a manual sacrifice is that the Sacrifice Totem provides two sacrifice charges. When you sacrifice a teammate or an enemy into the volcano, it only counts as one charge. You need eight charges in total to complete the sacrifice.

If you don’t know, you can make sacrifices by visiting the volcano in the Volcanic Biome and in return (after reaching eight charges), you obtain random rewards, ranging from weapons, fragments, and gems. To be exact, the possible items are as follows:

  • Infernal Sword
  • Infernal Crossbow
  • Cultist Gems
  • Forest Gem Fragments
