Few things in this world are as unpleasant as a home infestation. When you’re house is covered in creepy crawlies, you know to call for the exterminator – but who do you call when it’s covered in zombies?

Zombie Wonderland is an upcoming survival horror game that attempts to put a cutesy spin on the traditionally scary genre. iPhone developer Xoobis and publisher Chillingo are promising an adorable adventure that places you in the boots of Chuck the Zombie Cleaner. The town of Niceville has been overrun by zombies, and the citizens in Niceville will call upon Chuck’s services to keep their homes safe from dusk ’til dawn.

The game will combine elements of time management, tower defense, and shooter games to create a unique experience for iPhone gamers. Tapping on zombies will cause Chuck to take them out with his shotgun Betsy. While fighting, you’ll need to make sure boards on the windows aren’t being knocked down and that zombie guts are scattered around your customers floor. To help you balance your time between shooting and cleaning, you’ll be able to mount machine gun turrets to help you take care of the undead with swift justice.

The game was developed in 3D using the Unity platform, the same engine that powers a number of outstanding online games such as Tiger Woods Online or LEGO Star Wars: The Quest for R2-D2. Controls will make use of the iPhone’s touch interface; you’ll tap on zombies to shoot them, tap on windows to board them up, swipe up and down on the floors to get them clean, swipe to rotate the camera, and pinch to zoom in and out.

The zombie infestation should be hitting Niceville any day now. Be sure to follow this game on Gamezebo and set an alert to be notified the moment it’s available.
