Zombie Cookin’ puts an undead spin on kitchen mini-games later this year

If you’re anything like me, you tend eschew cooking games because they don’t have enough action and gore to satisfy your tastes. However, Beeline Interactive and Capcom have just announced a new game that sounds like it’s got a little something for everyone in the kitchen:Zombie Cookin’.

The details on the game’s story are few, but it seems apparent that just because the zombie apocalypse has taken place doesn’t mean good cooks aren’t still in high demand. Players control a zombie chef who prepares gory delicacies for the ravenous masses; this is easier said than done, since there are going to be more than 50 different recipes in the game.

Players engage in a series of mini-games that include (but aren’t limited to) ripping off spider legs, scooping out brains, and chopping up body parts. As in games like Cooking Mama,Zombie Cookin’s mini-games have a timer that players must adhere to in order to successfully assemble a meal. If you go too fast or too slow, you’ll fail.

In addition to the mini-games, players can also send out zombie hordes to track down rare and delightfully disgusting ingredients. Between the tongue-in-cheek tone, the giddy gross-out elements, and the cartoon-like graphics, this looks like it’ll be a bit of a riot.

Unlike other games from Capcom and Beeline,Zombie Cookin’is due out for iOS devices much later this year. This one will likely arrive in the App Store sometime between Q3 and Q4.
