GDC offered a mountain of mobile game announcements, but in terms of sheer AAA appeal, few matched Mortal Kombat X. The long running fighting series is getting a new installment on April 14th, and in addition to a home console release, we’ll be getting a free-to-play spin on iOS and Android.

I suppose it’s not too much of a shock, considering WB and NetherRealm Studios have used the same mobile fighting formula twice before now (Injustice: Gods Among Us, WWE Immortals).

While going hands-on at GDC, DroidGamers was given permission to record some Android gameplay of Mortal Kombat X, giving their readers (and ours, and the world!) their first glimpse of what Mortal Kombat X will look like on mobile.

And it’s really good, you guys.
