If you’re a mobile gamer, there’s no better time to be a fan of Warhammer. Many games based on the popular franchise are being made for mobile, with even Blood Bowl getting a fair shake. Herocraft is delivering the latest mobile entry next Tuesday, October 28th: Warhammer 40,000 Space Wolf.

Space Wolf is a combination of turn-based strategy and collectible card game, as players control a team of up to three Space Wolves in battle against teams of Word Bearers. Combat is based around cards, with various commands, weapons, and abilities unlockable while playing. There’s also the ability to forge cards to make them more powerful, to really show it to those Word Bearers.

At launch 40K: Space Wolf will boast just the single player campaign, but PVP multilplayer is promised down the road. The game will be free-to-play, and require an internet connection.

The Warhammer series is a popular one, and the expansive universe and general theme means it fits a variety of styles – just this year we’ve seen a side-scrolling action-platformer, a sports game, and now a strategy game with CCG elements. Will this be the new favorite of Warhammer fans, and possibly draw in fans of Herocraft’s strategy output? We’ll see next Tuesday when the game releases worldwide – it’s soft-launched in South Africa if you want to get a heads-up on it.
