Toki Tori 2+ Preview

Ten years after the release of Toki Tori for Game Boy Color (check out Gamezebo’s review of the iPhone version here), Dutch game developer Two Tribes announces the development of the long-awaited sequel. Toki Tori 2 is being developed from the ground up and will release initially through Steam for PC and Mac, with additional devices to follow.

Toki Tori gets a sequel after 10 years!

Ten years after the release of Toki Tori for Game Boy Color (check out Gamezebo’s review of the iPhone version here), Dutch game developer Two Tribes announces the development of the long-awaited sequel. Toki Tori 2 is being developed from the ground up and will release initially through Steam for PC and Mac, with additional devices to follow.

Two Tribes is being very open about the development process of Toki Tori 2, allowing interested fans to closely follow the action through Twitter updates and developer blogs.

Two Tribes is also distributing a limited number of free Steam development copies ofTokiTori2 for players who write to[email protected].

‘We’re starting with a super-early version ofTokiTori2, which is basically interactive concept art, running on Steam for people to try out’, said Collin van Ginkel, creative director at Two Tribes, “we’re very excited to be able to involve the Two Tribes community in such a direct way!”

The PC/Mac version of Toki Tori 2 should be launching in spring of 2012. Versions are also being planned for Apple and Nintendo devices, with more to come.
