The Room Three Delayed until ‘This Summer’

If you’re a fan of Fireproof Games’ fantastic puzzle series The Room, I’ve got some good news and bad news to share this morning.

On the bad side, we have official confirmation that the next game in the series, The Room Three, has been delayed until “sometime this summer.” It was originally slated for a Spring release, but while the buds are only just now growing on the trees, the team at Fireproof was able to look at their progress objectively and realize that a Spring release just wasn’t in the cards.

“Development is taking a bit longer due to an expanded scope and ensuring that we release a game as polished as you’ve come to expect,” reads the update on Fireproof’s Facebook page. “So we’re now aiming to release The Room Three sometime this summer.” Sorry folks — there’s no way to open the mystery box that contains The Room Three any faster. It will be done when it’s done.

So what’s the good news? As a reward for our patience, they’ve shared the first real look at the game in a handful of screenshots posted on Facebook.
