Stop thinking about Telltale Games, dammit. They might have made the biggest games based on The Walking Dead, but they’re far from the only ones. Just look at The Walking Dead: Assault for instance, or The Walking Dead Social Game.

The next playable twist on the series is coming from, rather appropriately, Next Games. Due in 2015, The Walking Dead: No Man’s Land is heading to mobile devices and tablets exclusively. Little more is known at this point, but that hasn’t stopped them from releasing a teaser trailer just in time for the San Diego Comic Con.

While what’s shown here is clearly a cinematic (and gives no indication of what the gameplay will look like), it definitely does a good job of capturing the vibe of the show.

“Our approach is to stay true to the main themes of the TV show: survival strategy, finding safety for your people, balancing between right and wrong and, of course, action when it comes to fighting against the hordes of walkers,” said Next Games CEO Teemu Huuhtanen in today’s press release. “We respect the creators of The Walking Dead immensely and want this game to portray the world they have created as closely as possible.”

The team at Next Games should know mobile fairly well: they’re comprised of ex-Rovio, Supercell and Disney folks.

Expect to be playing The Walking Dead: No Man’s Land when the mid-season premiere for season 5 hits in early 2015.
