The Ministry of Silly Games

The world of Monty Python is no stranger to games, with the recent release of Monty Python’s Cow Tossing on the iPhone, but now that same brand of humor is coming to Facebook, as well. Developed by Zattikka, the studio behind Wheelers and Dealers, The Ministry of Silly Games will be a mini-game collection with a surprising focus on story.

The titular Ministry of Silly Games is an organization put together to keep people happy during a recession. As the General Minister, it’ll be your job to keep the ministry running smoothl. And of course, to play lots of fun, goofy Monty Python-inspired mini-games.

But in addition to the mini-games, The Ministry of Silly Games also features a virtual world element, developed by Dubit Platform, that will put a large focus on story, as well.

“Ever since we built our first virtual world ten years ago we’ve been aware that narrative is integral to a successful game,” explained Dubit CTO Matthew Warneford. “All the elements that go to make up The Ministry of Silly Games are great fun and really benefit from the Python humor. However, this is more than a collection of fun mini-games. Dubit and Zattikka want players, especially Python fans, to feel like they are part of the adventure and this is achieved through the implementation of the virtual world and narrative.”

The Ministry of Silly Games is expected to launch sometime soon, and you can sign up to be a beta tester at the game’s official site.
