The British (Crossy Road Characters) Are Coming!

One if by land, two if by sea, and three if by App Store. The British are coming, and they’re coming to Crossy Road. Or at least it looks that way if Ben Weatherall’s Twitter account is anything to go by.

Ben (for those of you who don’t know, or simply haven’t unlocked him in-game) is the artist behind Crossy Road’s characters – and in recent days his tweets have showcased a love for all things English, Scottish and Irish. (Maybe even Welsh, but who could tell?)

We’ve seen double decker buses, bagpipers, leprechauns and more — all hinting at an update chock-full of British characters. Why? Ben hasn’t said, but if I were to speculate, I’d think it’s to tie in to Commonwealth Day on March 9th. If so, an unlockable Queen Elizabeth II might not be far behind.

Whatever the reason for these teasers, they all seem to suggest one thing: the British Invasion is alive and well and headed to Crossy Road. Take a peek at all of the potential British Crossy Road characters Weatherall has revealed so far:
