Silly Sausage Is the next ‘Meaty’ Game from Nitrome

After years at the top of the web games community, Nitrome have spent the last few months absolutely killing it on mobile. Some of those games are simple time-wasters like Platform Panic and Magic Touch. Others are much meatier premium offerings, like Gunbrick.

But nothing is quite as meaty as a sausage.

Launching later this week (March 25th to be exact), Silly Sausage in Meat Land will be a free download for gamers on iOS and Android.  Silly Sausage challenges players to stretch a dog across 50 different checkpoints, all while (hopefully) avoiding deadly obstacles and collecting gems.

“Silly Sausage is like a cross between Mario world and Snake…well that’s about as close a comparison as we can make to anything,” reads today’s post on the Nitrome Facebook page.

This one looks a lot more like a premium release than a freebie, but hey — when you’re turning out as many great games as Nitrome is lately, you’re probably learning a thing or two about what works best on the App Store.
