SackBoy Sprints onto Mobile With Run SackBoy! Run!

PlayStation mascot SackBoy is getting a running game for the iOS and Android (as well as the PS Vita). This announcement brings with it one simple truth: In this world of strife and hardship, there is nothing more frightening than the sight of SackBoy wearing a unicorn costume.

Run Sackboy! Run! is a free-to-play running / survival game that pits Sackboy against Negativitron (a vacuum that sucks up creative energy – something that adult life does efficiently by itself. Who needs demon vacuums?)

SackBoy automatically sprints through three worlds from the LittleBigPlanet series, including The Gardens, The Canyons, and Avalonia. You try and keep him out of trouble by tapping and swiping to hopefully get him around obstacles and hazards.

He’ll collect bubbles as he runs, which goes back into buying costumes like the aforementioned quadrupedal unicorn horror canopy. Thankfully there are far cuter costumes to aim for, like a pirate’s gear or a princess’ dress.

There are also collectable stickers that unlock special prizes, and a link with the upcoming LittleBigPlanet 3 that allows you to grab exclusive costumes.

Run SackBoy, Run! is coming to iOS, Android and Vita in October. LittleBigPlanet 3 hits PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 later this year.
