Puzzle Agent 2 Preview

The folks at Telltale games definitely know a thing or two about cliffhangers, and the one they left us with at the end of Puzzle Agent was a doozy. Unlike their other games, though, Puzzle Agent was never pitched as an episodic series. As such, we were a little worried that the crazy mystery of Scoggins Minnesota – the eraser capital of the world – might never get resolved. It looks like we can put that worry behind us now, as Agent Nelson Tethers of the US Department of Puzzle Research will be back and on the case in Puzzle Agent 2.

Puzzle Agent 2 is set to resume the mystery in Scoggins Minnesota on June 30th

The folks at Telltale games definitely know a thing or two about cliffhangers, and the one they left us with at the end of Puzzle Agent was a doozy. Unlike their other games, though, Puzzle Agent was never pitched as an episodic series. As such, we were a little worried that the crazy mystery of Scoggins Minnesota – the eraser capital of the world – might never get resolved. It looks like we can put that worry behind us now, as Agent Nelson Tethers of the US Department of Puzzle Research will be back and on the case in Puzzle Agent 2.

Picking up where the story in Puzzle Agent left off, few details about this upcoming sequel have actually emerged other than what you see in the trailer above. Everything about the original seems to be back – the Graham Annable art, the Twin Peaks vibe, the challenging puzzles – so folks looking for a brain-bending puzzle-meets-adventure game, similar in style to the Professor Layton series, should be sure to put this one on their radars.

Jim Squires is the Editor-in-Chief of Gamezebo. Everything you see passes his eyes first, so we like to think of him as "the gatekeeper of cool stuff." He likes good games, great writing, and just can't say no to a hamburger. Also, he is not a bear.
