Fire the torpedoes!!

Alawar is taking a break from the worlds of match three or hidden object games with its upcoming Pearl Harbor: Fire on the Water. A shooting gallery game, Fire on the Water will allow you to take command of a series of massive battleships, armed with torpedoes, laser and even nuclear weapons. Through the game’s 120 story levels, you’ll be asked to fire on enemy ships as they enter from the sides of the screen, never allowing them to make it to the other side.

The game’s tropical environments look to add more challenge to the game, as palm trees and islands might cover one side of the screen, potentially allowing an enemy ship to slip by unnoticed. You’ll need to use plenty of accuracy and timing as you click on each enemy ship to destroy it, with your skills being put to the test in ten different kinds of missions.

Pearl Harbor: Fire on the Water takes place across 13 different tropical locations, with levels being set both during the day and at night. You’ll take control of five different ships in all across the game’s timed levels in both campaign and quick play game modes. It looks like each ship will come with a number of allowable mistakes before ultimately failing a level, and we’ll be able to keep track of our progress (and our munitions supplies) via an in-depth HUD in the corner of the screen.
