Offspring Fling Preview

It seems like we’ve been reviewing a lot of indie 2D platformer puzzle games recently. Vessel and Out There Somewhere come to mind immediately. It’s like there’s been an explosion of this specific sub-genre over the past little while, and it doesn’t look like it’s slowing down any time soon. One man game developer warrior Kyle Pulver recently announced another entry in the genre called Offspring Fling, so what sets this one apart from the pack?

Toss your babies for puzzle solving goodness in Offspring Fling

It seems like we’ve been reviewing a lot of indie 2D platformer puzzle games recently. Vessel and Out There Somewhere come to mind immediately. It’s like there’s been an explosion of this specific sub-genre over the past little while, and it doesn’t look like it’s slowing down any time soon. One man game developer warrior Kyle Pulver recently announced another entry in the genre called Offspring Fling, so what sets this one apart from the pack?

In Offspring Fling, you’ll play as a mother who has lost her children and is wandering through the forest looking for them. The kids will be instrumental tools in solving the puzzles as you pick them up and fling them all over the boards to get them to the exit door. Though they’re rather durable, you’ll still have to keep them safe from the many dangers that await. Of course all the characters are rather adorable, which gives you something pleasant to look at while you throw your children around, watching them bounce off walls… literally.

With well over 100 levels being prepped there’s plenty of game to be had, but in case that’s not enough there’ll be ghost replays to race against yourself, improving your time and lots of secret unlockables. Offspring Fling will be hitting PC and Mac sometime soon, but you can always follow the game right here on Gamezebo to be notified the moment it’s available for play. Keep your eye right here for a full review when the game launches.
