When you strap into your Imperial Knight in Warhammer 40,000: Freeblade later this month, you’ll be able to deal out death and destruction to the many threats to the Empire in a number of ways. Orks and Chaos worshippers alike will learn to fear the many weapons at your disposal and tremble at the thunder of your mech’s feet.

If they don’t, the latest trailer for the game shows off several different ways you’ll have to “Forge, Upgrade and Equip” your Imperial Knight with even more powerful weapons. Fittingly for an IP based on a super popular tabletop miniatures game, you’ll also be able to make your mech look exactly the way you’d like with a variety of paint options, patterns and emblems.

But let’s get back to those weapons for just a second. I can tell you from my time with a beta build of Warhammer 40,000: Freeblade that all your favorites from Warhammer 40K lore are in there, albeit at massive size since they’re strapped to an Imperial Knight. From stubbers to autocannons to melta-guns, you’ll have a chance to use them all, to say nothing of getting up close and personal with a gigantic chainsword.

I’m getting a bit giddy just thinking about it, despite what that might say about me. Pixel Toys recently revealed that the game is due out later this month, so we won’t have much longer to wait. Glory to the Imperium!
