Mobster Shootout Preview

We sure do love mobsters. Scarface, The Godfather, Goodfellas, even the Grand Theft Auto series – we as a society are clearly enchanted by the seedy world of crime. Griptonite Games knows this, and that’s why they’ve gone and developed Mobster Shootout, a free-to-play FPS that encourages would-be mobsters to pick up their guns and fire at will.

Of course, there will be plenty of others in the game doing just the same thing. Mobster Shootout has a heavy multiplayer focus, pitting players against one another in online battles. Winning will net you all sorts of virtual street cred, as well as cash to spend on new weapons, contraband and perks. Having the biggest gun won’t make you the immediate winner of every match, but it certainly helps.

If you’d rather, you can bypass that process and spend real money to unlock items, which I feel like Scarface would probably approve of. To that end, you can also purchase apparel to customize your character with, because vanity is everything in the world of organized crime.

If you have an affinity for fancy suits and assorted weaponry, Mobster Shootout was made with you in mind. Problem is, it’s currently only available in Canada. A global release will likely happen soon, so be sure to follow the game here on Gamezebo to be notified!
