While it won’t offer the open-world freedom the franchise is known for, you’d be hard-pressed to find a gamer that isn’t excited about the impending release of Minecraft: Story Mode. It’s the latest licensed property from the narrative gameplay maestros at Telltale Games, and it has a voice cast ranging from Patton Oswalt to Corey Feldman.

And as of today, we know when you’ll be playing it.

Telltale has announced a Minecraft: Story Mode release date of October 13th for desktops and consoles, but the mobile release date (which, if you’re reading Gamezebo, you’re probably far more concerned about) will be the Thursday that follows: October 15th.

But that’s only the first episode. Expect four more to follow in the coming months.

Jim Squires is the Editor-in-Chief of Gamezebo. Everything you see passes his eyes first, so we like to think of him as "the gatekeeper of cool stuff." He likes good games, great writing, and just can't say no to a hamburger. Also, he is not a bear.
