We have to admit, we were starting to get a bit worried. After BeaverTap Games gave us Mikey Shorts, Mikey Hooks and Mikey Boots, all of which were super fun platformers with excellent one-touch gameplay, there was no sign of Mikey since the fall of 2014.

Did one of his adventures turn out to be more than he could handle? Would the next mention of him be … gasp … Mikey Dies?

Uh, no. Mikey’s just fine, thanks, and he’s on his way back to iOS in Mikey Jumps. Our friends at Touch Arcade have the lowdown, including the touching story of how the two Mikes behind BeaverTap Games met in their forums.

Mikey Jumps is set to put our intrepid platforming hero to the test by using all of the skills he’s learned to date. TA believes it will be an auto-runner, though more details should follow in the near future.

In the meantime, if you need to get in more practice time with Mikey, might we suggest the Mikey Trilogy? That bundle will set you back only a few bucks and includes all three previous games in the series, since it sounds like you may need to brush up on all of them.

We’re just glad to hear Mikey is okay. Maybe text us sometime pal, and let us know how you’re doing.
