Wizards of the Coast and D3 Go! have partnered up to bring Magic: The Gathering – Puzzle Quest to mobile devices later this year.

As the next entry into the very popular match-3 franchise, Magic: The Gathering – Puzzle Quest will have players battling monsters and Planeswalkers as they level up their own character and collect monsters, spells, and artifacts to improve their overall performance.

The Puzzle Quest series features Match-3 mechanics that see players matching icons for offensive and defensive capabilities. Magic: The Gathering – Puzzle Quest will bring all of the lore, beauty, and strategy that the TCG is famous for, and packaged it all into the traditional Puzzle Quest experience.

“Magic: The Gathering is loved by more than 20 million fans,” said Elaine Chase, Senior Director of Marketing at Wizards of the Coast, in the press release accompanying the announcement. “We’re excited to work with D3 Go! to create a new way for fans to experience Magic, and to introduce our Planeswalkers and the Multiverse to an entirely new audience of players.”
