Prettygreat is a studio that has a lot to live up to, and not just because of its name. When it comes to a “who’s who” of mobile games, the hype is very much real at this little Australian startup. Luke Muscat, the former Halfbrick employee who designed Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride, is their lead designer. Other Halfbrick alum like Phil Larsen have joined him too, and fellow Aussie’s Hipster Whale (of Crossy Road fame) contributed a whopping AUD$500,000 to help them get off the ground.

To say we have high expectations at this point would be an understatement.

Of course, without a game announced, we didn’t really know where those high expectations should best be placed. That changes today with the reveal of Land Sliders, a game about matching characters with their hearts’ desires by sliding the world around them.

“Legendary explorer Turny collects maps,” reads today’s press release. “Cat Enthusiast wants all of the cats. Black Hole prefers reducing planets to nothing. But how?”

There’s no word yet on pricing, release date or confirmed platforms for Land Sliders, but we’ll be keeping our ears to the ground — let’s just hope nobody slides it out from under us.

Jim Squires is the Editor-in-Chief of Gamezebo. Everything you see passes his eyes first, so we like to think of him as "the gatekeeper of cool stuff." He likes good games, great writing, and just can't say no to a hamburger. Also, he is not a bear.
