Jelly Defense Preview

I’m getting kinda hungry. I’ve recently read the word “jelly,” and all I can think about now is going to the kitchen and whipping up a PB&J sandwich. I love those. I’ve made thousands of them during the course of my life. There’s probably even been a day or two when they’ve been the only thing I consumed the entire day. That might not be the healthiest thing on the planet to do, but I’ve never seen the need to defend myself against the greatest companion to peanut butter. Until now that is…

Jelly Defense adds a colorful twist to tower defense later this month

I’m getting kinda hungry. I’ve recently read the word “jelly,” and all I can think about now is going to the kitchen and whipping up a PB&J sandwich. I love those. I’ve made thousands of them during the course of my life. There’s probably even been a day or two when they’ve been the only thing I consumed the entire day. That might not be the healthiest thing on the planet to do, but I’ve never seen the need to defend myself against the greatest companion to peanut butter. Until now that is…

So maybe I was reaching a bit there in that first paragraph, but when you’re writing up a preview for an upcoming tower defense game called Jelly Defense, it’s just hard to not think of sandwiches.

Polish developer Infinite Dreams is bringing their colorfully color-coded tower defense game to iOS, Mac and Android at the end of September. There are 20 missions awaiting you with 10 different towers and 8 power ups to be used in an incredible-looking game world. Players will need to place towers of the right color in the right location if they want to damage different types of enemies. This game is seriously gorgeous, just look at those screenshots!

These days tower defense games are a dime a dozen, but you can easily see that a lot of hard work and care was put into this one. This isn’t the first time Infinite Dreams has gone into the world of Jelly creatures. Their previous games Jelly Invaders and Jelly Chronicles are set in the same world, and they’ve even gone as far as to create and release other free promotional apps to introduce players to the Jelly world such as Talking Jelly Clock and the Facebook game Jelly Puzzle. The developers suggest that these games were only meant to serve as a precursor to Jelly Defense, and that they’ll all go free when the new game arrives.

Game Center support helps round out what is sure to be a well-received and fun game. Expect to see this one debut on September 29th.
