Iron Man 3 Preview

Tony Stark makes you feel, he’s a cool exec with a heart of steel. If Iron Man’s myriad movies haven’t convinced you that Tony Stark is radical, maybe Gameloft’s Iron Man 3: The Official Game for smartphones and tablets will change your mind as quickly as Stark changes in and out of his suits.

Take command of Tony Stark’s stable of Iron Man suits in Iron Man 3: The Official Game.

Iron Man 3: The Official Game lets you take control of Stark Industries. Ideally, that would give you free rein to burn down orphanages and dump toxic waste in the ocean, but since you’re representing Tony Stark and he’s kind of a good guy, you won’t be pulling any evil shenanigans. You do, however, get to develop over 18 Iron Man suits that appear in the movies and the comics. That ain’t a bad consolation prize.

Iron Man buffs should recognize some of the suits that roll through the game, including Iron Patriot, Mark 39, Mark 25, and War Machine. Once you’ve suited up, you can engage in tons of flying, fighting, and shooting. Some pretty fantastic graphics accompany you on your adventure: You get up close and personal with trains, soar through busy city streets, and wend through forest canyons. And, as you might expect in a game with so much chrome, everything is incredibly shiny.

Iron Man 3: The Official Game is free-to-play, and it hits tablets and smartphones on April 25.
