inkle Teases ’80 Days’ Android Release

I suppose it was inevitable, with the developers seeing past success with ports of Sorcery! and Sorcery! 2 on Android and all, but today’s tweet from inkle all but confirms it: 80 Days is coming to Android.

Keeping things mysterious, there’s no information beyond this what you can gleem from this picture above. And while there’s no hint of a release date, you’ve got to assume it’s coming sooner than later (or why bother teasing it now?)

PURE SPECULATION: My guess is that it launches tomorrow afternoon, debuting in a new Humble Bundle. The current Humble Mobile Bundle is set to expire then, and great mobile ports often see their debut there first.

It should be interesting to see if my guess plays out.

Even if it doesn’t, this is one Android gamers will want to keep an eye on. It’s a interesting blend of gamebook adventuring and world travelling that ends up feeling like a product entirely in it’s own category.
