After The Hobbit trilogy, we learned that the dwarves of Middle Earth have quite the vocal chords on them. Now, thanks to a brand new Hearthstone trailer, we know that the dwarves of Azeroth can sing alongside the best of them.

Over the weekend at PAX East, Blizzard announced that the next “adventure” for Hearthstone is called Blackrock Mountain, and then released a dandy little trailer to go with their announcement.

The titular mountain was popularized in World of Warcraft, as it was the zone which featured high-level instances like Molten Core, Blackrock Spire, and Blackwing Lair.

Blackrock Mountain Hearthstone

Long story short, Blackrock Mountain is made up of Blackrock Spire and Blackrock Depth, both of which are populated by the minions of the fire lord Ragnaros, as well as the fire lord himself. The hotly-contested region is also home to the leader of the Black Dragonflight, Nefarian, who desperately wants Blackrock Mountain for himself. So yeah, the area is a battleground between a fire lord and a scary-smart dragon…the situation doesn’t look like it’s going to cool down anytime soon.

Much like the Naxxramas Hearthstone adventure, Blackrock Mountain will feature wings that players can purchase with in-game gold or real-world money for 700 gold or $6.99 per wing. With five wings in total that’s 3,500 gold or $34.95. Bundles of the wings are available which reduce the monetary cost of the wings; all five wings are available together for $24.99 being the highest discount available.

Defeating the boss of each wing will unlock some of the 31 new cards being introduced in the Blackrock Mountain adventure. Defeating the boss of a wing will also unlock a Heroic mode for that wing, and if the player defeats all of the bosses in Heroic mode, they will receive a special heroic-mode cardback to use during gameplay.

Hearthstone players can pre-order all five wings of Blackrock Mountain starting March 19th to receive a special cardback available only to those who pre-order. One new wing will release for five weeks consecutively. Pre-ordering does not unlock all the wings at once.

Look for Blackrock Mountain on March 19th for Android and iOS devices.
