I mean, how else do you get to place where your protagonist is a gorilla riding a ski gondola through outer space? The folks over at Electric Pixel Factory must have had a blast the day they came up with that exact situation for their debut game Gorilla Gondola.

You’ll use a combo of swipe, tap and tilt controls to guide your bouncing silverback gorilla-topped gondola in momentum-based navigation challenges and quick-thinking-required puzzles through a series of wildly varying levels. Collect bananas, avoid the birds and play to perfection to gain achievements, collect power-ups and earn your place on the leaderboards.
On top of all that the parallax backgrounds have all been hand-painted and they’re gorgeous to look at. These things are really gonna pop on today’s high resolution screens. We’re looking forward to seeing this game in motion.
Gorilla Gondola looks pretty promising to be one of those “sweet spot” mobile games that hits all the right buttons. No matter whether you’re really into primates, skiing or hand-painted backgrounds, you should probably look for it this holiday in the App Store.
