Dragon Season Preview

Help a little dragon fly through the seasons as he collects his stolen treasure.

Do not get in-between a dragon and his treasure, for thou art crunchy and taste good with ketchup. In fact, Dragon Season, an upcoming action game from Ghostbox, demonstrates that dragons will go to impressive lengths to retrieve their favored trinkets and shiny things—even going so far as to fly tirelessly for entire seasons.

Dragon Season stars Nook, a little fire-breather who’s had his treasure stash stolen by the evil King Jellyboo. Word of advice, Kingy: Just enter the lottery like the rest of us suckers. It’s not a sure thing by any means, but it’s safer than grabbing from lizards with giant teeth.

Nook, mildly ticked-off about being robbed from, promptly sets off on a journey to retrieve what’s rightfully his. Dragon Season is an endless running game (rather, an endless flying game) that’s driven by one-touch controls. Simply tap the screen and release to make Nook climb, drive, and perform other aerial acrobatics that will help him gather the loose treasure scattered by Jellyboo.

Ghostbox has added some interesting features to help differentiate Nook’s flight from the gaggle of endless runners currently available on the App Store and Google Play. Nook can breathe fire to destroy Jellyboo’s towers, but more interestingly, the seasons change as he flies. Go from fall to winter, to spring, to summer, to fall again. It’ll be a hard journey, but at least it’ll be a pretty one.
