Microsoft’s E3 press conference took place earlier today, kicking off the busiest week of the year in gaming (asides from the week before Christmas of course, when you’re out buying everything that was just announced).

Nestled in between shooters and sequels was a trailer for the Xbox One’s upcoming indie lineup, and in two quick seconds – if you blinked, you would have missed it – my heart was won over by a game I’d never heard of: Cuphead.

A new action game that blends the frantic nature of run and gun games with 1-on-1 battles, Cuphead has a jaw-dropping hand-drawn art style. It looks like you’re playing a Mickey Mouse cartoon from the 1930’s.

I think I’m in love.

Whether it plays as good as it looks is anybody’s guess.
