Christmas Stories: Nutcracker Preview

Ah, Christmas. Or, ‘the holiday season’, as we’re all supposed to call it now. The presents. The food. The smiles on the little children’s faces. Auntie Mabel drinking too much sherry and passing out. The indigestion. The tantrums. The arguments… However you feel about it, it only comes once a year, along with a slew of ‘Christmas-themed’ games. One of this year’s is Christmas Stories: Nutcracker.

Christmas Stories: Nutcracker

You find yourself invited to the Christmas Ball at the prestigious Royal Palace building on Christmas Eve. When you arrive, you are greeted by Albert, a talking nutcracker who has hidden himself under the Christmas tree. He explains that a very bad, bad rodent called the Rat King has kidnapped his sweetheart, the Princess Mary, and enlists in your help to assure her safe return.

Christmas Stories: Nutcracker is a hidden object game from Elephant Games (Lost in the City, Surface and Mystery Trackers: The Four Aces) that looks to be not only family friendly but interesting enough for adults to enjoy as well as children. You can expect picture postcard perfect scenes of snowy landscapes, elaborately decorated Christmas trees, a door with a bad attitude, and an army of angry rat people.

It’s expected to be released soon, and it’s probably a safe bet to assume that, in this case, ‘soon’ will likely be before Christmas.
