Spellcrafter: The Path of Magic from Jujubee Games Studio is an upcoming turn-based tactical RPG that should be arriving on the App Store next month at the “premium” price of $2.99. Jujubee promises that the entire game is included with that price; so good news IAP-haters — there are no in-app purchases for players to worry about.

While Spellcrafter looks like any ordinary fantasy RPG, –filled with magic, gold collecting, hero gathering, and more — the game features a unique twist: players cast spells by drawing on the touchscreen. Swiping your finger in a particular pattern will cast the spell associated with that particular gesture.

Spellcrafter players will always have access to a spellbook so they can easily look up the gestures for the spells they plan on utilizing. However, players who can cast the spell by memory will find that the spell is much stronger than those who have to take the time to look it up in the spell book.

Just remember: circle, circle, dot, dot, is how you give the cooties shot. Never, ever, confuse it with: circle, circle, square, square… because then you’ll have cooties everywhere.

Whether or not (probably not) those are included in the game is yet to be known. What is known is that Spellcrafter: The Path of Magic is set to release on April 16th for $2.99 in the iOS App Store.
