Two things are inevitable in Cally’s world: Endless caves, and a need to rescue her kidnapped parents from the twisted Dr Herbert. Cally’s Caves 3 brings both inevitabilities back around for another go.
Like its predecessors, Cally’s Caves 3 is an action / platforming game with some light Metroidvania elements (e.g., backtracking to previously-explored areas with new weapons and abilities in order to access new corners and corridors). Cally must pursue the bad doctor over, under, and through a network of caves crawling with enemies like direwolves, robots, and knife-wielding bandits, and slime critters.
Luckily, one of the best features from the previous Cally games makes a return: Weapons. Tons of them. Cally has an enormous arsenal at her disposal, including a dizzying array of guns and pointy options for melee combat. The more she uses a weapon, the more proficient she becomes at it, and the more damage she can dish out.
Your enemies will stare down the barrel of a shotgun wielded by a little girl with blonde pigtails. And then they will know fear.
