Tandem Games will soon be launching a neat new match-three puzzle game called BumbleTales, and the studio gave Gamezebo a sneak peak. Your job is to repopulate the town of Springleton, which is home to eccentric green blob-like characters known as Bumbles.
Tandem Games will soon be launching a neat new match-three puzzle game called BumbleTales, and the studio gave Gamezebo a sneak peak. Your job is to repopulate the town of Springleton, which is home to eccentric green blob-like characters known as Bumbles.
By matching like-colored symbols you’ll gather resources that can be used to purchase and upgrade buildings (which also double as your power-ups during the game). You can also unlock the Bumbles themselves. Any building or Bumbles that you’ve unlocked appear in the map of Springleton, so you can keep tabs on how the town is progressing. In the demo we tried, this proved to be one of our favorite features: once we unlocked Mayor McCollywod, for example, it was beyond entertaining to see him waddling around town in his little top hat and spectacles.
You can also use the points you’ve earned to gradually unlock more and more of each character’s story. There will be 35 characters to unlock, and more than 120 levels to experience.
BumbleTales is scheduled to launch later this month, so be sure to check back to Gamezebo and we’ll let you know the instant the game is out. In the meantime, you can check out some screenshots, or discuss the game in our forum.
