The game is a tap-defense title that has players defending mankind’s last space outpost from an alien invasion. The space station sits in the middle of the screen, while the aliens slide in from all directions.
At first glance, the game looks like it’s going to be a fairly casual defense title that just requires some quick reflexes. However, it turns out there’s actually going to be a lot of strategy involved if players actually want to win. Gamers will have to horde the money they earn from killing aliens and judiciously spend it on upgrades that will help them fight their enemies. Also, gamers will need to study the attack patterns of the aliens to better understand how to counter them.
Blast Radius looks lovely so far, complete with wonderful sci-fi graphics and gorgeous colors. The game has been designed to work with the iPhone 4’s Retina display, and the iPad will be able to play an HD version.
At the moment, the game is due out in August .Its basic modes will be available free of charge, while the Pro Version will be purchasable for a small fee.
