Baron Wittard: Nemesis of Ragnarok Preview

European game developer Wax Lyrical Games has announced its debut horror adventure game, Baron Wittard: Nemesis of Ragnarok. Players will investigate Utopia – a pleasure dome featuring 1000 apartments, a shopping mall, and hundreds of offices and facilities – which now sits abandoned for reasons unknown. Armed with nothing but a camera and torch, players will have to face the lurking horrors of this desolate place and find out what dark secret the dome’s creator – Baron Wittard – kept from the world.

Debut adventure from Wax Lyrical explores themes of isolation and horror

Local townspeople say Wittard kept a terrible secret. They speak fearfully of someone or something malevolent lurking at his city. They say it is waiting and growing in power. They say time is running out…

“It can be both an enchanting and enthralling experience to explore the abandoned remains of an old building that time forgot,” explained the game’s writer and designer Alan Thorn. “Wittard embodies this intention. It throws the gamer into a massive and mysterious ruin in the middle of nowhere. Then it leaves them there unaided to explore its darkest depths and to solve its unnerving mysteries.”

Baron Wittard: Nemesis of Ragnarok will be published by Iceberg Interactive, a company that has a history of releasing other horror adventure games like Barrow Hill and Dark Fall.
