Atlantis: Pearls of the Deep is Legacy Games’ follow-up to Legends of Atlantis: Exodus. But whereas Exodus is a strategy game, Pearls of the Deep is a Match-3 puzzle game that utilizes physics. You don’t simply drop colored pearls to create groups of three or more: You need to foresee how the baubles are going to rest in their holding chalice, and you must also use gears and wheels to match up stray groups of pearls whenever necessary.
Power-ups are on-hand to help you when things get sticky across the game’s 60 levels, including the bomb pearl, the lightning pearl, and the ghost pearl. Hey, how come we don’t have exploding pearls here on the surface world? There are bonuses challenges too, and if all of this sounds a bit too intense for you, you can kick back and enjoy the game’s easy-going Zen Mode.
