Well that didn’t take long! Just last week we had reported on someĀ happeningsĀ that pointed to a February 25th release date for Assassin’s Creed Identity, and as of this afternoon, that date has been confirmed.

Assassin’s Creed Identity has spent two years in region-specificĀ testing (aka a soft-launch), and promises to deliver an experience closer to the core of the series than any previous mobile title before. Set during the Italian Renaissance, players will get to customize their own assassins, completes story missions and quests, and CLIMB EVERYTHING, BECAUSE ASSASSIN’S CREED.

From today’s press release:

[quote]Players will create and customize their own Assassins and take them through numerous adventures in iconic settings from the Italian Renaissance such as Santa Croce area in Firenze or the Colosseum area in Roma. The Assassins will evolve throughout the game and progress from a novice to a master assassin. Characters can be chosen from four individual classes: Berserker, Shadow Blade, Trickster and Thief. Expect Assassin’s Creed Identity on the App Store this February 25th for $4.99.
