The original title was an excellent “reverse tower defense” game – pitting a convoy of vehicular attackers against a massive technological alien invasion.
The original title has you fighting off the invasion across Bagdad and Tokyo, but it looks like this won’t be the last stop in Asia for our apocalypse-preventing crew. Anomaly: Korea was announced as the new sequel to the original, and comes with a speed-boosting power called Boost, and a Flamer tower that can melt your convoy very quickly.
Set months after the fallout from the first title, Anomaly: Korea puts you in control of a singular commander responsible for assembling and strategizing convoys of anti-tower attack groups. While the new title doesn’t offer a staggering amount of new material in terms of new offensive mechanics – levels will be filled with new traps and tricks to force players to think on their feet.
Players who loved the original Anomaly: Warzone Earth will have plenty reason to step up into their commander’s suit once again. With new challenges, promised voice acting, and an exciting new locale, Anomaly: Korea is looking to be just as exciting as its predecessor.
