If you’ve been wondering exactly what Angry Birds Transformers would be and when you’d get to play it, good news: Rovio released a video today confirming both. The iOS release date is October 15th, the Android release date is October 30th, and it’s… an auto-running platformer?
Huh. Didn’t see that coming.
The action in the trailer actually looks pretty cool, with your heroes running (and transforming) in the foreground while shooting at enemy towers (and the Deceptihogs themselves) in the background.
Touch Arcade is reporting that the game has just soft launched on the New Zealand App Store, so if you can’t wait until October 15th, iOS gamers can get their game on a little early.
This one’s a timed exclusive, so while Android gamers may have to wait until October 30th, at least they’ll have something to play while they’re dressed in their Rodimus Prime costume this Halloween.
