Amaranthine Voyage: The Tree of Life Preview

Odin’s praise be upon Yggdrasil, the Tree of Life. Without the support of its massive branches, the heavens and earth would smash into each other like a badly-made sandwich, and oh, what a mess that would be. Sadly, few of us think to pay proper tribute to this mighty ash tree, but games like Amarinthe Voyage: Tree of Life, coming soon for PC, are on-hand to remind us that big, big trees are awesome in a big, big way.

Overthrow an evil queen and rescue a priceless artifact

Amaranthine Voyage: The Tree of Life

Tree of Life is a hidden object game (HOG) that offers mystery, ruins, and a touch of steampunk. You play as a famous archeologist who’s on his (or her) way home from a big haul. Unfortunately, you’re hijacked by mysterious creatures that drag you back to their home world in hopes of getting their claws on the artifact you’ve just uncovered.

The monsters’ home world is savagely beautiful, but dangerous. It’s ruled by an evil queen who’s usurped the rightful ruler, and you need to help put things right by reviving the mythological Tree of Life with the Amaranthine Staff. Then you need to get back home. Somehow.

Your journey along the path of good isn’t an easy trek. You need to solve puzzles and dig through hidden object scenes if you want to beat back the evil that’s engulfing the realm. Beautifully-drawn graphics and rich sound help make your trials a little easier.

Amarinthe Voyage: Tree of Life is coming soon. In the meantime, remember to lock up your zeppelin when you’re parked, and don’t give rides to monsters.
