You might think that a week where Mortal Kombat X hits the App Store would have turned Wednesday night’s new release schedule into a barren wasteland — but not so!

There are a few notable games gearing up for release tonight, so be sure to give Johnny Cage some room to breathe and dabble in these new iPhone and iPad games when you’re taking a break from Mortal Kombat X.

Spirit Lords

Kabam has been putting out some spectacular 3D games as of late (Marvel: Contest of Champions, Fast & Furious: Legacy). Tonight they launch their next one: an action RPG whose development team is comprised of veterans that have worked on Dragon Age, Star Wars: The Old Republic and Diablo. In RPG terms, they wield a +1 pedigree.

Implosion

With four simple words, “April 9th: Deployment Confirmed,” The official Facebook page for Rayark’s upcoming Implosion delivered spectacular news for those who’ve been chomping at the bit to play it — especially in light of the game’s delays. If you’re a fan of action games, you’re going to want to grab this.

Tiltagon

There are a lot of games on the App Store that are all about pushing players beyond any reasonable measure of frustration — but few look quite as polished as this one. The latest release from publisher Noodlecake is definitely for the mobile masochists among you (and yes, there are many).

Finger Derpy

The Kentucky Derby doesn’t run until May 2nd, but if you’re planning on entering one of these QWOP-y horses, you’ll need the time to prepare adequately. Horse racing silliness ensues in the latest release from the makes of Serious Sam Double D.
