Think there haven’t been any great new Android releases this summer? Think again. The last few weeks alone have had a bevy of fun exclusives, ports, and cross-platform titles. There’s a little something for everyone.

Don’t believe me? Check out the 18 recent releases below.

Talisman

The classic RPG board game that hit desktops and than iOS in the last year has finally made it’s way to Android. Supporting up to four players, this is an excellent way to kill both an afternoon and a bag of Cheetos.

Duet

One of the best mobile games of 2013 finally comes to Android, but you won’t find it on Google Play. At least, not yet. The game is currently available exclusively as part of Humble Mobile Bundle #6.

Battle Camp

With Puzzles and Dragons was a little more like Pokemon, and with decent PvP? Battle Camp fills that gap with class and style.

ReactionLab 2

6127050565ce7d29f32984b836feb714[1]

Like science? More to the point, do you like mixing stuff just to see what happens? If so, ReactionLab 2 is very much the game for you.

Devious Dungeon

1918912[1]

The creators of League of Evil and Random Heroes are back, and they’re about to get medieval on your ass.

Cosmonautica

Technically in early access, the Google Play description describes this as “Elite meets The Sims.” You’ll assemble a rag tag crew and try to make a living in the stars, be it as reputable businessman or scurvy space pirate.

Gear Jack Black Hole

gearjack[1]

An endless spin-off to a popular autorunner comes to Android.

Battle of Littledom

com.mobage.ww.a1947.Littledom_Android_1[1]

The latest release from Mobage takes on the world of free-to-play role-playing. Is it amazing? We’re honestly not sure. But since we still miss their subline F2P RPG Quests & Sorcery, we’re happy to try their Battle of Littledom with an open mind.

The Inner World

53da4c37b5853[1]

An adventure game with a healthy dose of oddball company, we were a little let down with the game’s second half in it’s original release. Still, if you’re a fan of the genre, it’s well worth a play through.

Brave Brigade

Brave-Brigade[1]

2014 is the year of The Banner Saga. It’s left us hungry for every kind of SRPG we can find and… hey look! Here’s one!

UPDATE: After spending some time with it, we can’t really suggest SRPG fans give this a download. Automatic battles don’t leave much room for strategy, if you catch my drift.

Trine 2: Complete Story

Trine2CompleteStory_Frog_Screenshot[1]

An NVIDIA Shield exclusive, Trine 2 is the first mobile port of a fantastic puzzle platformer. I don’t want to call it a system seller, but I’ll be damned if I don’t want a Shield after seeing this.

Kapsula

kapsula

We’ve talked about Kapsula before on Gamezebo, and we’re happy to do it again. From the creator of Faif comes a unique games that’s as much like KLAX as it like Wip3out.

Batman: Arkham Origins

Our review of the iOS version says it all, but if you’re looking for the tl;dr – YOU’RE THE GOD DAMNED BATMAN.

Watercolors

If you’re looking for a mellow puzzle game with a color-mixing spin, this is your new mobile addiction. Check out our Watercolors review for more details.

Bloodstroke

screen1136x1136[1]

John Woo made a video game! …Again! Unlike the “sort of good, but mostly not” Stranglehold, though, his mobile debut offers up plenty of plenty of satisfaction, earning a 4/5 in our iOS Bloodstroke review from earlier this year.

Thomas Was Alone

1406698694[1]

With so many gamers befriending Thomas in recent years, this game’s title loses meaning more and more each day. That’s good news for you, though. Thomas Was Alone is more than just a charming puzzle platformer: it’s now indie gaming royalty.

Traps n’ Gemstones

tng6

Like Metroid? How about Indiana Jones? Stop reading this article and go by Traps n’ Gemstones. This fantastic little platformer is an easy contender for Game of the Year. Read our Traps n’ Gemstones review to find out why.

Guardians of the Galaxy: The Ultimate Weapon

guardians-of-galaxy[1]

You’ve seen the movie, now play the game! This one borrows it’s formula from other mobile RPG’s (in particular, Battleheart), but it does so with enough style that it’s hard to fault it. Besides – any excuse to mutter “I am Groot” is ok in my books.

Jim Squires is the Editor-in-Chief of Gamezebo. Everything you see passes his eyes first, so we like to think of him as "the gatekeeper of cool stuff." He likes good games, great writing, and just can't say no to a hamburger. Also, he is not a bear.
