As we’re nearing Christmas, the weeks of new releases are getting slimmer and slimmer; but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy what little we get! A few big releases, a few surprises, and a game where Judas Iscariot fights zombies. What more could you ask for?

Dragon Quest III

Square Enix has been on a roll lately – especially if you’re a fan of Dragon Quest games. In the last six months we’ve seen ports of four of them. Today, that total climbs to five.

Game of Thrones

After blowing us away with The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us (and, if you go back far enough, pretty much their entire catalog), Telltale Games is tackling the world of Westeros. Expect cameos from some of show’s biggest stars as you experience the story of House Forrester.

Bean Dreams

screen1136x1136[1]

If you’ve been iOS gaming long enough to remember Bean’s Quest, you’ll be excited about it’s sequel. If you haven’t… you’ll probably want to buy it anyway. The original was a shining example of how well platformers could work on touch screens.

Syberia

With Syberia III looming on the horizon, Microids has seen fit to catch iOS gamers up on the series by going back to their much-loved original. There’s a good chance you’ve played Syberia at some point in the past, but if you haven’t, and you love a good adventure, today’s your day to rectify that.

Tomb Raider II

Feeling old school? Let’s strap on your time machine and travel all the way back to 1997, and the second time Lara Croft graced our PC’s. Now blink. It’s 2014. You can play thing on your phone. In 1997, your phone was a thing with a curly cord that plugged into the wall. #weliveinthefuture

Roller Polar

For years now, Nitrome have been the kings of the ten minute time waster. Their browser games are a shining example of perfect, bite-sized game design. So on the rare occasion they release a mobile game? You should really stand up and take notice. In this one, you’ll be controlling a bear riding a snowball down a mountain. Admit it – that sounds like something you’d play.

Shadowrun: Dragonfall

screen1024x1024[1]

If you’ve already fallen in love with Shadowrun Returns, it’s time to fall in love with it once more. This standalone campaign promises a whopping 20 hours of play. Hooray for cyberpunk RPG’s!

Elune Saga

screen1136x1136[1]

The latest release from Gamevil, Elune Saga has you “collecting and evolving soul cards” to create a team of RPG warriors. Generic card combat, or “full-scale hybrid strategy RPG” as the iTunes description promises? Let’s find out!

Dustoff Vietnam

screen1136x1136[1]

If you’re old enough to remember EA’s “Strike” series, you’re probably as excited as I am about the potential of Dustoff Vietnam. Great helicopter games are few and far between. Cross your fingers; maybe this can join their ranks.

Fist of Jesus

screen1136x1136[1]

Sacrilegious? Sure. Bad ass? Absolutely. Fist of Jesus: The Bloody Gospel of Judas puts players in control of Jesus’ one-time disciple as he kickpunches his way through Jerusalem. Think Streets of Rage, but with more praying.

Night at the Museum: Hidden Treasures

screen1136x1136[1]

Movie tie-ins are a common enough occurrence, but I’ve got to admit it: combining a hidden object game with museum exhibits is a stroke of genius. Good thinking, Pocket Gems.

Braveland Wizard

Braveland was a great little sleeper hit for fans of turn-based strategy. This sequel swaps out a warrior for a wizard. If you’re a fan of the genre, be sure to check this (or its predecessor) out.

Club Penguin Puffle Wild

screen1136x1136[1]

Every brand gets a match-3 game nowadays, so why should Club Penguin be any different? Most kids have a favorite online portal for gaming silliness, and if Club Penguin is the one your son/daughter loves best, you’ll make their week by giving this a download.

Jim Squires is the Editor-in-Chief of Gamezebo. Everything you see passes his eyes first, so we like to think of him as "the gatekeeper of cool stuff." He likes good games, great writing, and just can't say no to a hamburger. Also, he is not a bear.
